Stacey Nelson, APRN, PMHNP-BC

Stacey is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) as a Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She has an Associate of Science in Nursing (Lincoln Memorial University, 2010), a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (University of Tennessee, 2014), and a Master of Science in Nursing (University of Tennessee, 2016). Stacey has spent the last 10 years working in community mental health; she has experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Stacey has experience evaluating and treating patients throughout the lifespan. Her practice includes depression, anxiety, impulse control disorders, mood and thought disorders as well as obsessive-compulsive disorder.

Stacey is committed to the recovery model of mental health care which strives to provide holistic, person-centered care. When not working Stacey enjoys spending time with her husband, their two children and their five animals, reading, traveling, and UT football.

 

David Jackson M.Ed

David is a Project who has been working in Higher education for nearly 3 years.  He has both a Bachelors and Masters from Georgia Southern University. Before working for the Up & Up Project David worked on the RISE Registry project which was a National Institute of Health grant funded research project. His previous work experience includes being a Clinical Didactic Coordinator for Lincoln Memorial University Debusk College of Osteopathic Medicine and Scheduling/Communications Coordinator for the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire.

David is aligned with the UTK College of Nursing mission statement of: Leading Care; Creating Partnerships; Improving Health; and is committed to making the UP & UP program a lasting success.  Away from work, Marc enjoys spending time with his Wife and Cats; Kayaking, Gaming, Hiking, and Traveling.
